Gretna Baseball Foundation & The American Legion Post 216 would like to congratulate all the Class of 2012 Gretna High School Graduates. We are very proud you & your accomplishments! Commencement is today @ 2pm at Gretna High School. We wish you the best of luck in all your endeavors.

The new year has begun & it is time for some exciting changes with the Junior & Senior Legion Post 216 Baseball Teams. With the hometown development of our new League called “Eastern Nebraska Baseball League”, we hope that this change will give Gretna a step in the right direction for great competition while continuing in Class B – District 2. Senior Legion will once again be coached by Head Coach Dave Gulizia & Asst. Coaches Sean Lynn and Pat Chaney as they work toward a successful year. The Junior Legion Team will be coached by the returning duo of Head Coach Jake Wolf & Asst. Coach Oliver Bantam.
Below is the breakdown of the North & South Divisions of our new League. Gretna will play each team in the South Division at home & away and also play each team in the North Division once. These games will decide who will play in the League Championship usually around the first week of July.

The Gretna Reserve Baseball Team, which is not affiliated with Legion Post 216, but still run by Gretna Baseball Foundation, will return with Head Coach John Beutler for another season along with new Asst. Coach Nate Alsop. For the 2011 season, the Gretna Reserves played as Class C, but will move up to Class B for the 2012 season.
Stay “in the know” by signing up to receive important emails for tryout dates (May 11 & 12 OR May 18 – TBD), parent meetings (May 16-evening OR May 19-day — TBD), etc. Pass the word & let others know to click on REGISTER in the top left of the page via the website www.gretnabaseball.com. Obviously, if you are receiving this email you are already signed up, but if you want to be removed, please send an email to gretnabaseball@gmail.com.
